FAQ: How do I sort documents in a list?

You can change the order in which documents or records are displayed in Zudello's List, Board, and Table views.

Methods:

  1. Table View - Column Sorting:

    • This is often the most intuitive method.
    • Simply click on the header of the column you want to sort by (e.g., click the "Date Issued" header).
    • The first click usually sorts in ascending order (A-Z, oldest to newest, smallest to largest). An arrow icon (▲) often appears.
    • Click the same header again to sort in descending order (Z-A, newest to oldest, largest to smallest). The arrow icon usually flips (▼).
    • Clicking a third time might remove sorting for that column or cycle back to ascending.
    • (Example: Clicking column header - image temporarily unavailable)
  2. Change Sorting Option (List/Board/Table View):

    • Look for a Change Sorting icon or dropdown menu, often located near the top right of the view, sometimes near the layout or filter icons.
    • (Example: Change Sorting option - image temporarily unavailable)
    • Click this option.
    • Select the Field you want to sort by from the list (e.g., Date Issued, Total, Supplier Name).
    • Choose the Direction (Ascending or Descending).
    • Click Apply or similar confirmation.

Key Points:

  • Available sort fields depend on the specific module/submodule and view.
  • Sorting preferences are usually remembered per user for each view.
  • Sorting works in conjunction with any applied filters.
