FAQ: What's the difference between List, Board, and Table view?
Zudello offers different layout options within most submodules to help you view and manage your documents and records effectively. You can usually switch between these views using the Change Layout icon/dropdown, typically located near the top right of the list area.

-
List View:
- Description: Displays records as individual cards stacked vertically. Each card shows key information (e.g., Document Number, Supplier, Date, Total, Status, Assignee).
- Pros: Good for quickly scanning key details of multiple documents, often used for visual status updates, suitable for touch devices. Provides access to quick actions on each card.
- Cons: Shows fewer documents on screen at once compared to Table view, sorting/filtering options might be slightly different than Table view.

Board View (Kanban):
- Description: Organises records into columns based on their Status (or sometimes another field like Assignee). Records appear as cards within their respective status columns.
- Pros: Excellent for visualising workflow progression, easy to see bottlenecks (where cards pile up), allows drag-and-drop to change status (if permissions allow).
- Cons: Can become wide if many statuses exist, shows less detail per card than List view, less suitable for viewing large numbers of records simultaneously.

Table View:
- Description: Displays records in a traditional spreadsheet-like grid with rows (records) and columns (fields).
- Pros: Shows the most records on screen at once, allows easy comparison of specific data points across records, offers robust column-based sorting and potentially column reordering/resizing. Often includes specific columns like "Issues" for validation summaries.
- Cons: Can feel dense, less visually engaging than List or Board view, might require horizontal scrolling if many columns are displayed.

The best view depends on your current task. You might use Board view to track workflow progress, Table view to analyse specific data points across many documents, and List view for quick scanning or mobile use. Zudello usually remembers your last used view for each submodule.
