FAQ: How do I use advanced filters?

Advanced filters allow you to narrow down the list of documents or records displayed in Zudello based on specific criteria across multiple fields. This is more powerful than using just the main Status filter or Quick Filters.

Steps:

  1. Open Filter Panel: Navigate to the list, board, or table view you want to filter. Click the Filter icon (often looks like a funnel), usually located near the top right. This opens the filter sidebar or modal.

  2. Add Filter Condition: Click Add condition (or similar button like "Add Filter").

  3. Select Field: Choose the data field you want to filter by from the first dropdown list (e.g., Supplier Name, Date Issued, Total, Status, Assignee - User).
  4. Select Operator: Choose the comparison operator from the second dropdown list (e.g., Is, Is not, Contains, Greater than, Less than, Is set, Is not set, Is in list). The available operators depend on the selected field type (text, number, date, relation).
  5. Enter/Select Value: Provide the value to filter against in the third field.
    • Text: Type the text string.
    • Number: Enter the number.
    • Date: Use the date picker (YYYY-MM-DD).
    • Dropdown/Relation: Select the value (e.g., Status Key, User Name, Supplier Name) from the list.
    • Is set / Is not set: No value needed.
    • Is in list / Is not in list: Enter comma-separated values.
  6. Add More Conditions (Optional): Click Add condition again to add more filter criteria. Multiple conditions are typically combined using AND logic (all must be true for a record to be shown).
  7. Apply Filters: Click Apply or Search. The view will update to show only the records matching all your filter conditions.

Tips:

  • Clear Filters: Use the Clear all button to quickly remove all applied filters.
  • Status Filter: Remember that the main Status filter bar at the top works in addition to advanced filters. Ensure it includes the statuses you need.
  • Saving Filters (Future): Future enhancements may allow saving frequently used filter combinations as custom views.
