Quick Start: Uploading Your First Expense Receipt

Capturing expense receipts promptly helps ensure accurate claims. Here are the easiest ways to get receipts into Zudello:

Option 1: Email Forwarding

  1. Find your team's dedicated Zudello expense inbox email address (ask your admin or check Settings > Mailboxes).
  2. Forward email receipts (e.g., from Uber, online stores) or email photos of physical receipts to this address from your work email address.
  3. Zudello automatically links the expense to you and creates a record in Expenses and Travel > Expenses.

Option 2: Mobile App Upload

  1. Open the Zudello app on your phone (see Setting Up the Mobile App).
  2. Navigate to Expenses and Travel > Expenses.
  3. Tap the + icon, then Click here to upload.
  4. Choose Take Photo (for physical receipts) or Photo Library/Choose Files (for existing images/files).
  5. Capture or select the receipt and confirm the upload.

What Happens Next?

The uploaded receipt appears in the Expenses list with the status Scanning. Zudello extracts the data, then changes the status to Ready or User Review, ready for coding and claiming.
