Quick Start: Understanding the Document Viewer

When you open a document (like an invoice, PO, or expense) in Zudello, you'll see a consistent layout designed for easy review and coding. Let's break down the main areas.

1. Opening a Document

  • From any list view (e.g., Purchasing > Invoices), simply click on the document row or card to open the viewer modal.

2. Key Sections

  • Document Image (Left): A view of the original uploaded document (PDF, image). You can zoom and scroll here.
  • Header Fields (Top Right): Contains key summary information like:
    • Supplier/Customer/Employee details
    • Document Number, Dates (Issued, Due)
    • Currency, Totals (Subtotal, Tax, Total)
    • Status, Type
  • Line Items Grid (Middle Right): Shows the individual lines extracted or entered, including:
    • SKU/Stock Code, Description
    • Quantity, Unit Price, Line Total
    • Coding fields (Account, Department, Tax Rate, etc.)
  • Side Action Panel (Far Right): Provides access to collaboration and information tools:
    • Chat: Discuss the document with colleagues.
    • History: View the audit trail of changes.
    • Related Attachments: Add or view supporting files.
    • Related Documents: Link to other Zudello documents (e.g., link Invoice to PO).
    • Inbox: View related email threads (if applicable).
  • Action Buttons (Top Right): Buttons like Save, Save and Submit, Approve, Reject appear here depending on the document status and your permissions.
  • More Actions Menu (...): Contains less frequent actions like Download, Duplicate, Revert, Archive, Delete, Apply Trained Rules, etc. The available options depend on status and permissions.
