Tutorial: Archive vs. Delete Documents

Goal: Keep your workspace tidy and manage unnecessary documents by understanding when to archive versus when to delete.

Persona: Maria Garcia (New General User)

Over time, your Zudello workspace might accumulate documents that are no longer needed for active processing. Zudello provides two main ways to handle these: Archiving and Deleting. Understanding the difference is key to good record-keeping. Archiving hides documents from normal views while retaining them for historical purposes, whereas Deleting marks them for removal (though data is often retained in the background for audit).

This guide explains the distinction between these two actions and shows you how to perform each one.
