Section 4: Provide Information to Zudello & Test
With the Entra ID configuration complete, you need to securely share the collected details with the Zudello support or implementation team to enable the integration on the Zudello side.
Steps:
- Gather Required Information: Ensure you have the following details securely stored from the previous steps:
- Application (client) ID (from Section 1)
- Directory (tenant) ID (from Section 1)
- Client Secret Value (from Section 2 - the secret value, not the ID)
- Exact Name of the Entra ID Provisioning Group (from Section 3, e.g.,
Zudello Users
)
- Securely Transmit Information:
- Contact your Zudello implementation manager or Zudello support (
support@zudello.com
). - Use a secure method to transmit the Client ID, Tenant ID, and Client Secret Value (e.g., a secure password-sharing tool like 1Password or LastPass, or send the IDs and the Secret Value in separate emails/messages).
- Clearly state the exact name of the Entra ID group created for provisioning.
- Contact your Zudello implementation manager or Zudello support (
- Zudello Configuration: Wait for confirmation from the Zudello team that they have configured the integration on their end using the details provided.
- Test Single Sign-On (SSO):
- Ensure a test user (who exists in Entra ID but not yet manually created in Zudello) is added to the
Zudello Users
group in Entra ID. - Wait ~10-15 minutes for potential provisioning sync.
- Have the test user navigate to
https://app.zudello.io
. - They should enter their email address and be redirected to the Microsoft login page.
- After successful Microsoft authentication, they should be logged into Zudello without needing a separate Zudello password.
- Ensure a test user (who exists in Entra ID but not yet manually created in Zudello) is added to the
- Test User Provisioning:
- Verify that the test user who logged in via SSO now exists in the Zudello user list (Organisation Settings > Users).
- Add another user to the
Zudello Users
group in Entra ID. Wait ~10-15 minutes and verify they appear in the Zudello user list. - Remove a user from the
Zudello Users
group in Entra ID. Wait ~10-15 minutes and verify their account is deactivated in Zudello (Organisation Settings > Users - they may appear greyed out or have an inactive status).
- Troubleshoot (If Necessary): If SSO or provisioning fails, double-check the Client ID, Tenant ID, Secret Value, and Group Name provided to Zudello. Review the Entra ID sign-in logs and provisioning logs for errors. Contact Zudello support for assistance.
