Step 3: Configure Default Coding (Optional)

To further automate processing, you can set default dimensions (currently Subsidiary and Location) that will be automatically applied to documents received through this specific inbox.

Steps:

  1. Open Inbox Settings: If you navigated away, go back to Settings > Mailboxes and click the edit icon (pencil) next to the inbox you just created or want to modify.
  2. Locate Default Coding: Scroll down to the Default Coding section within the inbox settings modal.
  3. Set Defaults:
    • Subsidiary: Click the drop-down and select the default Subsidiary that should be applied to documents arriving in this inbox.
    • Location: Click the drop-down and select the default Location.
    • Note: These defaults apply early in the Enrichment process and might be overridden by more specific rules like Supplier or Item defaults later.
  4. Save: Click Update at the bottom of the modal.

What Happens Next?

The inbox is fully configured. Documents emailed to its unique address will be automatically ingested, classified, and have the specified default Subsidiary and Location applied (if configured).
